Live audio (no midi) to control Resolume?

Hi!

Is it possible to use live audio stimuli to trigger the various video capabilities within Resolume in real time?

For example a voice reading poetry or a solo violin.

Or must the audio be pre-recorded?

I have a very low-latency audio system running Ableton Live with an RME Multiface A/D interface.

Hey, many thanks for any replies ;)

Best regards
Lou

Right now the audio must be pre-recorded, but we are working on the audio FFT as we speek.
This will enable you to let the video respond to audio signals coming from the inputs of your soundcard or the sounds being played from Resolume itsself. The audio FFT is not finished yet and it will take a few weeks to complete

Hi Edwin, thanks for the reply.

There are so many ways I can think of to use real-time video manipulation by audio, I hardly know where to start!

I'm so excited to see what you come up with. if you need a Beta tester, please let me know.

Best regards

Hey there!!

Yes, definitely Audio FFT was a great feature in 2.4 that I think more than one is missing,
I'm curious to see what are you guys preparing...
Great work by the way on release 3!!
