Widescreen on a standard display

How can i output a widescreen composition on a standard display? Without having the composition stretched. Is there an option or an XML file that i could edit?
I tried the advanced screen setup, but changing the values there had no effect at all!

I would love to preview my triple head stuff on a 16:9 display with a black letterbox above and below.

There is now way at the moment todo such a thing, if you set the output settings to lets' say 1280x480 the final image will be strectched to the size of your monitor.
You could set it to windowed view, so you won't be stretched, but your window might not fit.

Aaaah - I can use the keyframe plugin on my composition^^! Thus correct the wrong aspect ratio.
Only drawback: the preview is squezzed...

Plus I loose 2/3 of the height-resolution of my triplehead composition, right? (Comp is squeezed to 1/3 of the original height, -before- being stretched to the monitor size)
