video input doesn't appear

Hello, I tried plugging in an Isight camera to my macbook pro. It lights up, and shows video, in another MAX patch I have. When I open resolume and go to sources, "IIDC Firewire Video" now appears (it usually doesnt if I dont plug it in). However, the isight doesn't light up and when i drag "IIDC Firewire Video" on a clip, all i get is black, no video.
Do I need a different camera, or a driver? Am i missing a preferences setup step or something? Thanks.

The camera seems to be working fine in other software, so it should work in Resolume also.
Do you have other camera's to try in Resolume? If so... how do they work?

Are you trying to get this working in Resolume 2.41? or Resolume Avenue 3? (they both should work fine i guess, But Avenue3 is still beta so there could be some bugs)
Did you plug in the camera before starting Resolume?
You probably did, but you put up the opacity slider enough to show the selected layer?

I had several issues with some crappy USB webcamdrivers once, but never with firewire, I wonder if you really need special drivers for that, My Firewire DVcam doesn't need any special firewire drivers to show up in Resolume.

I don't have any other cameras to test it with but Ill try to borrow a friends to test. Does anybody have a good recommendation for a cheap camera that works with Resolume 3 on a mac? I haven't been able to able to test yet of course, but I'm also curious if you can record audio with the video in order to "sample" live musicians or crowds?

So i tried 2 other cameras. They work on my friends computer but not mine. We both have mac book pros, leopard, GeForce 8600M GT video card if that matter. This time , DV cam appeared in sources but no visual.

Does anyone have any other idea why this might not be working. I have the fairly new 2.6ghz MBP. Could there be soem driver or update I need to do somewhere? Thanks.
