"ATI's RADEON IGP 320M"
did anyone try to set up this chipset with resolume in dual mode? ati states that it has an internal (?) TV-out port.
i'm considering to buy a low-cost notebook which is suitable for using resolume. I spotted the following products:
1) Siemens (1210â¬):

G.card: ATI RADEON⢠IGP 320M
2) HP/Compaq (1140â¬):

G.card: ATI RADEON⢠IGP 320M
What do you think?
Any other ideas?

Yes i have that Siemens model but i have some problems with it using the tv-output. Tv mode dies after about 15 minutes, whatever you show on your laptop. So a scanconverter is sometimes a must if you want to show things via tv-monitor. BUT if you have vga cables with you then it's rather ok. I'v done something like 3-4 hours without crashing but i think it's ati drivers fault.

did you mean you experienced 3-4 hours without crashing and did somethin else then ... or you did it work well for 3-4 hours and crashed after that? I know I'm splitting hairs but this information is kinda important for me.
and i assume you did try the dual-mode (fullscreen video on the VGA-out and the interface view on the notebook screen)
thanx again ...

Yo sorry the late reply.
It's actually 5-6 hours without crashing with xp pro
and with dual mode and thats the record for me.
Funny thing is that i need so much rebooting before the show that is unbeliveble. If any comments or tricks i'd
love to hear them.
If you can find some better hacked drivers than ones ati is providing give me a shout
