DV-camera video-feedback freezes

hey!
I just tried to do my video-feedbacks, like I did with the old resolume 2.41, on the new one (V3.0) but the feedback freezes after a second.
I create the feedback loop with my DV camera attached to the firewire port, filming my output monitor. With the old resolume I got really amazing, trashy effects but the V3.0 seems to block the feedback. It only works if I reduce the opacity of the layer with my DV-camera-signal to a minimum, but then the feedback is much too dark.
It would be really important for me to get the feedback behaviour back, like in the old version, because my whole show depends on feedbacks.

thanks for your help

What do you mean by "video-feedback freezes"? Does the camera stop? Or does Avenue crash? Or ... ?

hey bart!
No resolume dosen't crash, but it seems that the video signal coming from my camera is stopped by resolume so it won't loop again and the feedback is stopped. I'll send you a sample video when I'm home later, maybe that makes clear what I mean.

Hey Bart!
Now I've attached an example-video where you can see the behaviour of resolume V3.0 when I do the feedback loop. At the top layer I have the moving typo and the DV-camera, which is filming my output monitor, is at the layer underneath. At the beginning of the video the camera-layer is off. Then I fade it in, you can see the feedback and then the camera-layer freezes, while the typo-layer continues to play. If I fade the camera-layer out and in again, the same happens again. I hope you can follow me...
With resolume 2.41 the feedback, as you see it before the camera-layer freezes, loops over and over again and that is the effect that I really like to achieve with the new resloume also.

Hey!
Today I tried the feedback thing with avenue V3.0 on windows an I discovered that the feedback works fine and looks like it used to look with resolume V2.41. Maybe it is an issue how the operating system handles the DV-stream from the firewire port.
I've attached a video with the working feedback and if anyone has a clue how to make this work on mac please tell me ;)

thx flo

ok time has passed and I've done some further testing with videofeedbacks on the mac because I really want to get away from windows.
I tested feedbacks with my DV-cam connected through firewire on final cut and modul8. Both applications did the feedback loop very well, the signal did not freeze at all. So it seems that it isn't an issue of the mac OS but an issue of resolume (only the mac version). Still, also in Version 3.1.1., the feedback freezes after a few seconds. I also tested the internal USB webcam on resolume and got the same results as with my DV-cam, the feedback freezes.

Is anyone also using feedbacks and can confirm this behaviour or tell me how to get rid of it?
