Do you have QuickTime installed in the default location on your C drive?

Hi Bart,

I am having the problem of DXV codec not installing / being visible in Quicktime 7.
I do not have Quicktime installed in the default location - is this the cause of the problem, do you think?

Ok,

I'll just answer my own tech support questions then...

Unistalled Quicktime, reinstalled in the default location (Boot Drive):\Program Files\
And lo, the DXV codec has appeared.
(Might be worth making that installer check for QTs install directory)

We have searched for this but it looks like it's impossible. It's possible to ask Windows all sorts of questions about where it's directories are (like My Documents, etc) but it's not possible to ask where a 3rd party application is installed.
