image loses resolution and sync when reducing scale

I am building a layer composition in the demo with four layers. When I reduce the scale of two of the layers and position them they lose resolution. Also these 2 layers are based on the same clip which I copied in the deck. They are exactly the same in all respects apart from their positioning in the composition. They have the same in and out points and are set to loop back and forth. I trigger them from the column heading with launch set to "none" but they don't start from the same point consistently and even when they do they lose sync over time.

Thanks

Not sure what you are getting at with the loss of resolution - I don't see that behaviour on my machine.

Maybe it would be worth posting a screenshot of what is going on.

As for the clips getting out of sync, are you running the clips in BPM transport mode? If not then even the slightest difference in in or out points would lead to the clips falling out of sync.

Weird that they don't start from the same point consistently - how variable are they?

Dan.

I can't post an image right now....but basically the clip is losing res and going fuzzzy round the edges. If I set the same composition up in Arkaos Grand VJ (sorry!) the image is totally sharp.

I understand your comment about non bpm sync and ins and outs....but one clip is an exact copy of the other, in and out points included. Besides I find that even with the timeline enlarged it can get very fiddly setting ins and outs precisely. The playhead really needs to scrub with the loop bracket or you should be able to get the brackets to jump and lock to the playheads current position

thanks
