Good program to just queue a few movies?

I use and love Resolume when I want to do a bunch of eye candy, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about a simple program to just play movies, but one that has smooth transitions between clips, and has playlist support, and ideally two decks for smooth transitions between each? I've been doing a lot of guerilla drive-in stuff and hate flashing a desktop or a program interface. I usually use Zoom Player or VLC, but VLC shows the program interface when going from clip to clip, and Zoom Player doesn't have a break-out playlist so I can't add to the playlist while something is playing.

I usually play a few shorter (10 min) clips with sound, then a movie or two.

PCDJ VJ is great in theory for this, but I've found lots of issues with sound sync when playing full length movies.

Wondering if anyone has any advice, either Windows or Linux?

Thanks for any help.

Oh, that's very cool. What city are you in? I love the wireless control button.

I think ZoomPlayer does have a detachable playlist window, which you can edit even while playing. You need a dual-head setup of course, but you can keep playback fullscreen on one window and manipulate the playlist on the other. Shortcut is Alt-L to bring up the playlist.

I ended up building a Max patch that does something like what you want, so that I could have crossfades and stuff.
