I'm searching for an graphic-adapter which would be perfect to run resolume. In the FAQ (support) the Radeon 8500 is announced as the "best videocard".

What about the newer Radeons? So what about 9000 up to 9800 ?

2nd:
which card is the best for resolume, if the radeon and the parhelia (matrox) would be compared?

Thanks in advance

hi,

ive heard that Matrox is the best when it comes to multi display...
i bought the Parhelia(256) a month ago and its a great card...
2 video screens and 1 tv out, or 3 screens... when u edit video thats great. but its a very expensive card :( so i gues u should buy the one wich best fits your needs(but i can recommand the Parhelia :) ).
the only thing i was surprised about was that its a AGP4X and not an AGP8X...

GL&HF...

sounds good,
I've allready thought something like that, after looking in to the specifications of the parhelia-series.
Nevertheless, does somebody know something about the dual-head-capability of the radeons ?

don't know about radeons - i use a Matrox g550 and it's great. I see matrox have new P-series cards out which are a step up from the g550, but cheaper than a parhelia - check http://www.matrox.com for info.

I using radeon for over a year now from 8500,9500 to 9800pro and is great.
dualhead is ok you can do different kind of modes and also dvdmax works with overlay like on the matrox's.
9800pro is more for games i have to admid;) but everything from a 9500 is ok.
