I have made a library of clips for a performance where both audio and video were rendered together. I had three weeks of playing with them fine, now avenue wont recognize them having audio. however the demo files still work and some other AV files work.
I ran a record test, had a jam with a separate audio file that played while I jammed video over the top. only the video got recorded.
please help as I have a new show coming up this weekend!

The demofootage are seperated video and audio files...
Don't know for sure if this is solving your problem but... In the settings menu you can switch on/off video & audio recording seperately...

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be my problem. clips that i used to be able to load (pjpgs with audio) now don't seem to have audio according to avenue. however there are just a few random ones that do. maybe its the fact that they have been rendered together, ? but then again the record mode didn't record the audio in the test i ran...this is very confusing

By default audio recording is turned off in the Preferences. So to record the audio you need to go to the preferences and enable audio recording. That might explain why your recording does not include audio.
But it is strange that Avenue does not recognize the audio in some of your video files anymore. What you can try is delete all the preview files that avenue creates. You,ll find them in this directory:
MAC:
/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Resolume Avenue 3/previews/
PC:
C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Application Data/Resolume Avenue 3/previews/
By deleting all these preview files you're forcing avenue to re-analyze the files and hopefully it will find the audio again.
