Could anybody help in telling me how to crossfade between clips without using the slider. Perhaps with a pre-determined fade time.
There is not auto-fade built in that I know of.
You could set up a midi sequencer to send midi controller messages to automate the opacity faders.
Why do you want to automate this? If the problem is that you find the on screen slider too fiddly then I'd siggest getting a hardware midi controller - much easier to get a smooth fade than when using the mouse.
