Connect 2 webcams?

Hi everyone, i'm trying to connect 2 webcams as external sources to my Resolume software (i'm using Mac), but it seems it can see just one at each time. The 2 webcams are same model and type.
Actually it seems that only one usb port does support the webcam, so the issue could be in the mac other than in the software.
I would like to know: is it possible to have more than one external source in Resolume (some say yes, some say no)?
Do i need any external device that could make it possible to use 2 (or even more) webcams? Like a switch or a tv-card or anything?
Please help me! :(

Thank you

from memory, the positive reports of people using more than one camera input is when they use different webcams at the same time. i recently read about someone using 3 at the same time.

Really?? And is it true that it's better to have a tv card to connect them?
Actually my Mac seems to see the webcam only on 1 of the 2 usb ports. :x
