i'm using a brand new top-of-the-line HP laptop with a radeon 7000, and when i enable the 2nd monitor out via the s-video port it comes up with a thick black border all around the signal, as if it's being waaaay underscanned. has anybody else seen anything like this, and can anybody offer hints as to how i can output a nice, normal full-frame video signal from my s-video port? thanks!

updating the videochip drivers (if new onces are available) might help ... otherwise TVtool comes to the rescue! http://tvtool.info/

yer ati cards have stretch and position options in the monitor set up try playing with them as well--> right click desk top ---> properties ---> settings ---> advanced ----> then i think the last bit should be under display --> tv / 2nd monitor or sommin like that
