I generally use indeo 5.11 on win2k. Is it worth installing XP so I can use IndeoXP (5.2)? Any difference in speed/quality/filesize? Can't think of any other reason to use XP so I'd rather know before wasting all that time. Cheers.

i can't imagine you'd get enough benefit to go through the hassle of installing a new OS - especially XP!

watch out! From XP SP1 they don't ship with Indeo codecs anymore. You will have to BUY the codec to use is under XP (
http://www.ligos.com). As far as I know indeo 5.2 is only commercially available...
Just get the Indeo codec somewhere, don't upgrade to XP just for that. I think the 5.2 codec will work under W2K.
