I'm going to buy PC and Resolume on it. P4 2,6 with 512ddram will be enough I suppose, but which videocard?
64ddram will be enough?
Nvidia or what?
I have about 100 euro...

i've got the matrox g450etv. works like a charm....

if you use the matrox or radeon cards (dual head) you can use dvd max, so you can have a preview on the screen and as an output.....

i would highly recommend a matrox - excellent quality and features. I currently use a g550. It does not have video in/out like the g450eTV, but it does have a much better breakout cable (which you need to buy separately).

- it is well worth spending a little more money now and getting a good graphics card - it's the primary interface between your visual and the screen, so it pays to get the right one.
BTW - the g450 and g550 have 32Mb vram - both work fine - resolume doesn't need much vram.

You are saying that 32Mb ram is enough?
I don't have to buy a card with 64 or 128Mb?

32mb is enough
video ram is mostly used these days for storing texture files for game playing - the more ram, the higher resolution texture files you can load, so the better the game graphics quality.
Programs like resolume tend to use the graphics processor on the video card for calculating the output, so large amounts of ram don't make much difference.

(thats a pretty simplistic description, but bottom line is no, you don't need heaps of video ram)

sooo...

am i getting this right, you can run resolume from a single laptop with mix screen on but output the lil preview screen as a fullscreen ouput to projector ect.

ie no need to blindly toggle in fullscreen mode with one laptop?

thats the ticket! although if your using a lappy,you'll have to use the radeon mobility series, as matrox don't make lappy cards.

Instead of using dvd max (matrox) you'll need to use Theatre mode (ATI). They're the same, just called different things for each card.

Also, the drivers that come as standard, possibly won't have the theatre mode on them, so you'll need to download a newer version. have a search on vjforums for where to download new drivers from. I also managed to get overscan on the latest drivers, so there's a super brucey bonus!
