Framrate drop after turning on 2nd monitor - solved!

hey!

if I run resolume (V3.1.0 /macbook pro/ win XP) with a single monitor setup I get a framerate about 35fps playing the demo composition with three layers running. if I use two monitors, to get an output on my TV, the framerate drops to 5-7fps. can anyone give me a hint what I can do to get a usable framerate? I remember months ago I used the avenue beta without framerate problems.

Having similar issues with 3.1 on XP but not as dramatic. The worst drop I saw was a 50% reduction in framerate with a second monitor attached, but usually I lose about one third of my framerate when working with second monitor.

Today I did some further testing and I found out, that the drastic framerate drop happens only with the new versions of resolume (V.3.0.0, V.3.1.0, V3.1.1). When I play the demo composition with the beta (rev1110) I can get about 35fps playing all three layers at the same time. Doing the same with version 3.1.1. I get a framerate of 8 to 10fps.
I use a Macbook Pro 2.5 Ghz Core 2 Dou, 2GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 8600M, Windows XP SP2. I use windows because the feedbacks don't work on OS X (see here: http://www.resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4529)

Hope there is anyone out there who can help me out because I have to cancel gigs if I don't get that thing working.

hey!
today I solved my framrate problem. the solution was installing the latest nvidia drivers (V186.81) for my macbook pro (http://www.nvidia.de/object/notebook_wi ... ql_de.html) and resolume V3.1.1 plays the three videolayers of the demo composition at about 40fps which is a real improvement to the 8 tom 10fps with the standard nvidia drivers provided with the bootcamp installation.
