output permanent glitch under XP

hi!
first of all thanx for the 3.1, the flash and the rest is really cool and so useful!!
now i started running Resolume in Vista, which we all know is a very bad idea. so i decided to install xp instead and now i have a glitch that splits the screen on all outputs. if i go back to vista its ok, but if i want to make the vista design lighter (basically go back to an xp skin when still in vista) i get this glitch again.
does anybody know if vista adds a specific layer that makes things work? is anybody else having this problem in xp?
