a way to solve quicktime problems under windows xp

on my xp machines, quicktime player normally needs about 10 seconds to load, and loading .mov files into resolume (also old versions) results to freeze my output for about a second!
in windows 7 it runs fine, vista never tried :p
so here my resolution for windows xp:
i started quicktime player and watched the task manager and noticed that after quicktime.exe, exportcontroller.exe starts and ends before quicktime is fully loaded....
i renamed the exportcontroller.exe and quicktime starts in 1 second, playing mov files in resolume nomore gives me framedrops if the harddrive is fast enough (at internal old laptop and usb harddrives there are still little lags, but think that is normal).
the function of quicktime export i've not tested but as long as you wanna just play quicktime videos, everything runs smooth this way!
