List of known working DV Converters for Mac OS and Avenue

Hey there, I am having a problem with my DataVideo ADC-200 DV Converter. It's recognized by Resolume as an option in the DV Source Settings, but when I try to use the DV Source clip in Resolume, it's just gives me a black screen.
I'm using a MacBook Pro Core2 Duo (about 3 years old) with OS 10.6.1.
I was wondering if other people out there are having luck with any particular brand of DV Converter? Canopus working better? Or is this a bug with Avenue 3.1.2 and perhaps OS X 10.6.1? Or should I be using an uncompressed Firewire converter? Maybe I upgraded to 10.6 too soon? 10.5 working better? I had already upgraded to 10.6 when I bought Avenue.
Who's having success getting video streams in to Avenue via Firewire on the Mac? Heck, if there's a USB option, that would be OK too I suppose at this point. I miss my DV input!
