Hi, I'm experiencing some problems with my behringer controller and resolume lately. I'm not sure if the behringer is the problem or resolume.

I use a behringer BCF2000 that might be 5 years old.
i have mapped some of the sliders and knobs via midi mapping (composition midi mapping) and at first everything went fine but suddenly the midi/usb connection stopped working. it came back and went away again, on and on....

i did check the midi prefs in resolume and it looked ok, i did check that the device was recognized by the mac and it is. i did try with another controller from a friend (not a behringer) and it worked straight away. i also had to do my gig with his controller as the behringer stopped working just before the gig, but it did ran fine the whole day at my place...grrrrr... i also asked at vjforums where somebody told me to check its sending out USB signals by resetting it in the menus. at first this seemed to work but stopped again after some time...

so know i am wondering if this has ever happened to someone else? if it's a resolume problem ? if its a problem with my controller ? i am willing to buy a new one, but wanted to be sure somehow if its really broken or if the problem could come from something else....

any ideas anyone !?

In my experience, Behringer's are a notoriously bad piece of kit. I've had 3 different models of the BCR2000 exhibit the exact same problem as yours, on 3 different computers. So my guess is, yeah, the Behringer is broken, especially since your friend's controller works fine.

To rule out any doubt though, try a program like Midi Monitor (http://download.cnet.com/MIDI-Monitor/3 ... 20747.html) to test if it is actually sending midi data or not.
