video routing

this may be way down the line... but a way to route video into busses or send/recieve like channels would be nice. For example, when sending out to a tripleHead2go - you could put a "keystone (w/ or w/o crop)" onto each projector allowing to align each projectors throw to the next projector (sloppy projector positioning).

Also a way to have finer grain control (more accuracy) over keystone effect values. (in real world sometimes .01 becomes much larger).

What, and miss all the fun of seeing the venue's tech go slowly crazy trying to line up the beamer's just right? ;)

Jokes aside, those are interesting suggestions. We'll throw them around the office. Like you said, it's probably going to be further down the line.

We have some ideas for layer routing but indeed this is just an idea now and something to ponder on for the future.

Video routing might be a good way to implement things like video masking, too.

Take a source video, multiply it by the mask video, send it to one channel.

Take another source video, multiply it by the inverse of the mask video, send it to another channel.

Add the two channels together, presto video masking.

Yeah that's a nice way of doing it. Version 3.1.3 also has a mask blend mode now for easy video masking.
