effects drop down menu is empty?

hi, downloaded, reinstalled sev times Resolume 3 but when hitting Effects tab, no effect options are visible. I have video clips playing in the diff layers, but just can't seem to access any effects to apply? Am I missing the obvious?! any help appreciated, P

Just to make sure: you are hitting the Effects tab on the far right of the screen, and not the Clip Effects tab a little more to the left?
If so, please send an email to support[at]resolume[dot]com, with a log file if possible
MAC: /Users/[username]/Library/Logs/Resolume Avenue 3 log.txt
PC: C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Application Data/Resolume/Resolume Avenue 3 log.txt
Hopefully that will show us what is going wrong.
