Building a specialized VJing PC

Me and my friends are thinking of building a system just for Resolume Avenue, however we are finding it hard to find the hardware we need.

We mainly want around 3 VGA outputs and 3 BNC output (so that we could output to different screens simultaneously), an HDMI or VGA input (preferably VGA since we want to connect another PC), and a soundcard which supports XLR output so that we can play clips which include sound.

The best hardware I've found so far are a Quadro FX card with the Quadro Output card, and a Blackmagic capture card, however I think that this kind of system would be an overkill for Resolume.

Any tips please? Thanks a lot!

i would prefer a mainboard with 3 or more pci-x slots and 3 graphic-cards with tv-out (radeon 4870+2x 4350 for example). Should be cheaper and you have up to 5 vga/dvi/hdmi outs or 3 video outs. I also found an 4850 x2 card with 4 dvi out... but still 1 tv out, so if you want to have 3 video outs you have to take 3 graphic cards or scan converters!
Blackmagic works very good with resolume what i've read!
I prefer Win7, so be sure that your Soundcard works in your OS!
only for vjing a dual core with 4gb ram should be quiet enough!
if you also want to prepare your footage, you should take a quad core and maybe more ram!

Thanks! Would I be able to use the video out feature on capture cards such as the Blackmagic Intensity Pro in Resolume?

i don't know, i never tested...
but i think the output from the blackmagic card is only for conversion from the inputs.....
if can you attach the output in your OS like a normal monitor... you should also see the display in resolume.
i guess it will not work, but i never have used such a card!
