from 2.1. i wish there were a sticky for newbies or a faq but
A LOT of the clips that worked in Resolume 2 ARE NOT working in 3. i also have audio attached to half of them because it never mattered before.
i am working with adobe premiere 4. what is the easiest way to re-encode my clips so they will play now? i know this is going to be a task, and this is from someone who has never re-encoded any clips before. so please hold my hand through it.
any help would be much appreciated.
thanks
Chris

and if there's a faster way to re-encode them than going through premiere, please inform me of that also.

Check out this batch converter from Livid Instruments, people on this forum have succesfully used it to convert their material to the DXV format (and it's free).

If you use most of your material only in Resolume 3 i would suggest using our own DXV codec, this means extremely fast playback. I will take some time before all clips are converted though because the compressor is not that fast.
You could also choose to use an MJPEG codec like the one in our shop (
http://resolume.com/shop/codec.php), mjpeg codecs are great for vj software.

DXV only has a framerate which is adjustable at the moment.
so its simply a case of selecting your source folder, your destination folder, the DXV codec ( choose the framerate ) and then press start.

ok. i did notice that. i'm guessing if i made most of my clips in premiere i should be at 30 frames per second? for the test i just used default.
i was curious about the output format. i used quicktime movie but noticed there were a lot of other options in that regard.
thanks
