I've been using Res 3.1.3 and now 3.2.0 with audio, and am having some problems.
When using the DirectSound driver, sound is quite crackly and bad unless I crank up the sample size to 2048 or 4096, and even so, occasionally sees clicks and pops.
Previously, I had used the ASIO4ALL driver, and this worked fine. However, now I see the 'computer speaker' output device, the one that i want to use, disabled. So naturally I don't get any sound out. ASIO4ALL works fine with Ableton Live and FL Studio 9, only with Resolume I have this problem.
I notice that in the Volume mixer, it shows ASIO4ALL as the application (not Resolume) whereas with Ableton and FL Studio it is the actual app that turns up in the mixer, even when using ASIO4ALL as the driver.
Could something be wrong with how Resolume Avenue opens the ASIO driver, or perhaps it fails to give up control of audio devices when driver is switched ASIO?

Hmmm. That doesn't sound like the way things should be. We'll take a look at what could be going wrong. Could you send us a logfile so we have your full system specs on reference?

Hi, I'm currently demo'ing avenue v3.3.1 but I've got this problem as well - was there any solutions found for this?
Re: Sound not working via ASIO4ALL...
As far as I can track back, we never received a log file for this. It is a known issue though. Could you use the 'feedback' option in the preferences to send us your logfile?

Re: Sound not working via ASIO4ALL...
I don't have this problem with 3.3.1. But whenever I don't get ASIO4ALL running inside Avenue I just disable the speaker in Windows so that no other program accidentally blocks the device. ASIO4ALL will still be able to access it. Try it.

How do you "disable the speaker in windows"? I think I got it right but it didn't help unfortunately...

Re: Sound not working via ASIO4ALL...
right click on the "speaker" symbol in the tray menu (bottom right corner),
choose "audio devices", right click on the channel out you want to use
inside of ASIO4ALL and choose "deactivate". Then restart Avenue or choose
your native sound device in the preferences and then switch back to ASIO4ALL.
