A question about SWF

Hi,
I use Resolume 3 (3.0, 3.11, 3.13 and now 3.2) in a Windows 7 partition, and I'm trying some configurations to optimize the system. Basically I'm trying to install the minimum number of softwares and drivers.
Currently, install Quicktime and Resolume allow me to use correctly DXV and MOV files, but I'm in trouble with SWF files.
Even if I visit the Adobe website (http://get.adobe.com/it/flashplayer/) and install the latest Flashplayer, Resolume 3 fails to read SWF files; and to solve that I'm forced to install Flash CS3 or CS4.

Is there a way to use SWF files without installing Flash?

If you install Flash using Internet Explorer then Resolume should be able to pick it up. Installing Flash with Firefox or Chrome does not do it for Resolume.

Probably (surely) the problem is that I do it using Firefox. I never thought to try it with another browser ...

Thank you very much for the tip!
