Hi
I want to make an installation that would have two 42inch FULL HD screens fed by Full HD Video or still images from Resolume Avenue 3.2.0 . I'm using an Apple Macbook Pro 15' (late 2008) with the 9600M GT NVidia graphics card and I'm considering to buy the Matrox Dualhead2Go. Would the Matrox card support two HD outputs, meaning two 1920x1080 signals?
Thnx

No the Macbook Pro is not powerful enough to render a Resolume composition that is (2x1920x1080) 3840x1080 pixels large. At this size i'd recommend a PC with an SSD drive and one of the latest, top of the line videocards, but your milage may vary.

Ok Bart. Got that.
But I´d like to give it a try and see how my Mac behaves with such a composition.
So, there comes another question: Does DXV actually support 3840x1080 encoding?
If so, do you have any idea why everytime I set my render resolution to 3840x1080 in Vegas, it auto drops me to 2048 pixels in width?
tks

This thread is over 3 years old! Computers have improved a lot since then, so Bart's advice is not really valid anymore.
But to answer your question: DXV is not limited to a certain resolution. As you can see in our retina MBP test, you can create 5760x1080 files without issue. We recently heard of somebody doing 16K by 8K resolutions.
The 2K limit on Vegas seems to be a bug with particular versions of Vegas. Just export to an intermediate format first, and batch encode to DXV with another app while you're asleep.
