BPM sync mapping

When I have a layer parameter ( e.g scale ) BPM synched, I would like to be able to switch between a different number of beats so that is zooms in or out to 1 beat 2 beat or 4 beats, The beats + - buttons only allow for one midi controller so I guess that I will have to use a dial or fader to make this happen. When I do tho' i end up with a slider which gives me up to 4096.00 beats. Anyone know how I can limit the scale to a max of 4 beats?
Thanks NFN

Hey NFN

Most midi controllers allow you to limit the output of rotaries and faders to a certain range, either via the hardware itself, or a software editor. Otherwise you could use a midi translator app (like Osculator on OSX, similar apps exist for WIndows) to convert the midi signals.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Joris.
I am sure thats the right way to go about it, I would love to learn some OSC but right now I just need a rough and ready approach to seeing this done.
I have opted for a button toggle, mapped successfully via resolumes own midi mapping, button on and it sets the speed to my chosen highest value ( 4 bars ) , button off and it sets it to its lowest ( 2 bars ). A nifty use with the layers bypass button lets me switch between the 2 states effortlessly.
