Long BPM-Synced DXV clips

Hello Folks,
I'm having some problems keeping things in sync using MIDI triggered videos - fired from Ableton and then kept on track by the clock.
The drift or lag changes slightly each time, and I wondering if I'm pushing Resolume a bit too far.
Many of the clips are between 5 and 8 minutes. Is this a ridiculous length in most people's experience?
Much of the BPMing in Resolume involves much smaller clips I realise, but I was under the impression that it was robust enough to cope with it.
The problem is worse with faster BPM speeds. - There's a fair amount of Lip-Sync, so the problem becomes pretty noticable after a while.
The videos are more often (but not always) drifting to be too early.
I'm running a very fast Dell laptop and nothing appears to being put under pressure hardware wise.
