DXV doesn't render correctly

Hey,

I really love DXV codec and its ability for alpha - but I noticed that [in my case] out of 5 clips 3 rendered not correctly. In one case it flipped for example a frame at the end. Is it maybe a memory problem? I rendered on a x64 bit win7 computer with AE CS5 x64 - I tried several renders afterwards and still same problem.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hey Rotor

Could you send us the original and DXV clip? (support[at]resolume[dot]com)

Still got the same problem. Maybe someone could explain on how to reinstall DXV? ...maybe one thing to mention - everytime I installed a new resolume version there were problems when it came to install the new DXV [there was a message box which told me that the DXV codec-files were still in use - I closed all programs and 'clicked' on "retry" until it installed 'properly'].

soo... before I have to reinstall the OS, I'd rather try to reinstall the codec.

Hey Rotor

We're pretty certain this is caused by a conflict with Adobe Media Encoder CS5 and DXV, not so much the DXV codec itself. We're looking into it, but until we find a fix, a better idea to try would be to render to another codec first, and then using another application to convert to DXV (personally I really like MPEG Streamclip, but unfortunately it won't do image sequences).

DXV export works fine from AE CS4.. no problem ... i rendered a 15 min video 1600x600 ... just a month ago it took 8 hrs!! of render , now with DXV 2.1 it's only 40 mins, haleluyaaah :))))

...just tried to render a losless avi with alpha in MPEG Streamclip - it crashed - just for the record...

is it possible to not install Adobe Media Encoder CS5 next time when I do a fresh installation - I really don't want to run into the same problem then. Of course any other 'bugfix' / workaround is welcome..

ALL done in AE CS5 ;) - that's the problem. I just tried to render the lossless avi + alpha in MedieEncoder CS5 as DXV - there it renders without the flipped frames BUT ... didn't manage to change the default output [only possible to resize the output as PAL / NTSC ... AND in 25 FPS / 23,99... - but I need a different size and fps ... but this means it's not the codec's fault - but something in AE CS5].
