I'm using MacBook Pro, 2,5 GHz, 4 GB RAM, nvidia 8600 GT - for video loops i use external HDD 7200 rpm connected via expresscard34 to eSata

id guess so. my laptop is a slightly lower spec core 2 duo / win 7 machine with a geforce 9600 and can do around that many layers of 1080p at around that framerate.

win 7 and avenue seem to be a huge step up for framerate / size / performance.

Yeah been looking into this but I'm finally taking the plunge into a MBP. Cross platform has got me hammered most of the time so its a little conforming i'll be doing :)

@VjAir Have you done any DH2GO or TH2GO stuff with the dell your running? whats the max resolution you've played with? I remember you mentioning some proper HD a while back like 1080p done anything higher?

Did you film all of this yourself? if so how long were the clips? Would you ever take it a step further and go to a high resolution if its possible?

Thanks fellas :D

well, that's the other thing.. my 1280x480 loops are very long (sometimes even 2 minutes.) and that's why i can't use soo many layers with my notebook and TH2G, and also i'm a big fan of blending modes so i don't dissable global effects....i use 1920x480 too, but than i can use only 3-4 layers..
Of course with i7 processor, SSD and 2 graphic cards u can do 50fps anytime. But i travel a lot and do outdoor festivals and i don't wanna carry a desktop around...I try to use as much of my own images as it's possible, but i also "sample" :o or buy anything i like, and goes with my images... In the show posted above are mostly my own images shot in NYC...

u can check a show i did for international film festival with DH2G 1600x600 with 5 minute long DXV viedos and triggering audio samples too, which was also possible thx to Avenue and all with really low bugget... for big bugget and resolution shows i use Dataton Watchout or Ventuz

Cool these are my thoughts too. the less the better. i plan on running the same as you in the next few weeks with a potential controller too... but still unsure... anyways enough of my rant! ooooooh btw what fps are you getting if you dont mind me asking? is deck switching smooth on the play back.

im happy uoi mentioned some of your video's are 2 mins long mine are 1min or over sometimes.

Yeah im starting to use more samples as time goes on. some good stuff out there.... :o

Cool i'll check the video when im home from work ;)

Thanks
