ehm,
there is no best AND cheapest, sorry...
I'd go for the Edirol PCR30, or better, just visit a wel equipped shop and get your hands on the controllers to feel which feel best and see which are cheapest, then decide...
Then check ebay or similar...

good luck

or try Pocket Dial from Doepfer : 4*16 knobs so you can get control for each layer (1 to 3 + active) not very cheap : 166 euros but very sturdy

tnx!!

I did not understand if the problems someone has with the midi controller are bugs of resolume or bad settings

I would like to know be sure of that before buying something similar...

Pocket Dial from Doepfer --don't like this!! I prefer something like evolution uc-33 with cross fader...

for me the mosrt important thing is to switch easly from on layer to another...

e-bay is good...i'm getting now the evolution 33 for 150 euros...but I hope that then will work with resolume

be carefull with that evolution though! I may fall apart just by looking at it...
It'll work with resolume, don't worry. It's not really robust.
