My first try to advance the random-play-capabilities of Avenue. I'll explain later […] on the run
The main idea is to have clips keep playing while random-playback instead of a still-frame.

This patch allows triggering a clip and have it start at a random position but then play back as set in Avenue.
!!!Doesn't work with clips that have audio in them and for the moment it only works when the patchs' windows is active. Also keep in mind that it can only work with clips set to "play from last position" (the button with the triangular cross by a horizontal line. otherwise it will start from the beginning as always.!!!

You can select the layer with keys 1—4
The clips get triggered with keys A,S,D,F,G,H,J,K

I'll try to get this thing up and running with MIDI–(map)–support. That should get rid of the active–window–issue.

would it be possible to have a version that played a series of clips in sequence, one after another, so it would play the full length of the clip whatever length it was, would be almost like setting the end action of the clip,
would be good to have an option like in premiere where you can place an alpha transition marker between two or more clips

Are you asking for this be implemented into Avenue or a MAX patch like the above ones?

i think it would be a handy feature to have inside resolume, i have the copilot patch but there is no option to tell it to play to the end of the clip then play the next clip is there?

Nope. That's a thing you just can't achieve yet as Avenue has no OSC/MIDI out.
Make a request in the proper forum or search for the thread where some users already requested this and push it. I just can't find it at the moment.
