Serious trouble with DXV 2.2.1 and "50 Mask"

As soon as I mask a clip (with Alpha) with another one set to blend mode "50 Mask" I get unexpected output (see pictures). It doesn't affect clips without alpha nor does it affect clips with alpha as long as I have another clip playing that doesn't have alpha. Can you please check this?

thx in advance

*edit* It doesn't make a difference whether I render premultiplied or straight.

I now have the same problems with clips that were rendered in previous versions of the DXV codec. But it only appears if the clip has effects applied that themselves generate an alpha channel (e.g. particles).
In the picture below you can see 2 clips playing and one clip on top of them @ "50 Mask". You can clearly see that those portions off the "cubic clip" that stay on top of the video clip are rendered correctly. Those that are outside have this strange look as if you render a straight alpha and play it inside a player that can't handle it e.g. QuickTime.
Info: I updated QuickTime today and it didn't help.
I don't have the DXV 2.1 installer anymore so I can't test that (can you share it?).
It also happens in previous versions of Avenue.

*edit* It affects only soft edges in alpha channel. For example blurs and trails, trails in particles, etc.

Thanks pal. Didn't solve the problem although this might be caused by Avenue 3.3.1 installing DXV codec as far as I know. But I found out that the problem appeared with 3.2.0. Version 3.1.3 is working properly.
Anyway, bart contacted me and I hope we/they can recreate and solve the problem. I'll report back.

*edit* For now I can solve this by putting a black solid on layer1.
