Probably you need to install Quicktime, or other video codecs, depending on your footage...
When BPM sync is triggered for your clips with audiotrack, make sure a valid audio device is activated in options, otherwise no BPM is counting = clips with audio won't start.

Sorry for going a bit off topic: Why is it that BPM is not counting when I have no audio output configured but an input? As I rarely output audio via Avenue this behavior doesn't make much sense to me. Think of it like this: You are in the club and someone steals your audio interface and the on-board chip is broken or what not. That would make it impossible to play BPMâsynced clips.

where i said "audio device" earlier, I ment "audio output device"
So if you configured a line in, i guess your soundcard (audio output device) is active and the BPM is counting.
And yes, my experience is that if no audio output device is configured, the BPM isn't counting... I haven't test that with the latest version though.

Just tested 3.3.1 with all my audio interface deactivated. And it still counts the BPM
Thing is I remember 3.3.1 to be not counting a fews days ago. I hope this never shows up again.

An unconfigured output device could result in a non functioning BPM. We created a fallback for this so if there is no Audio device present or configured it will use a standard high priority thread. This fallback is in since i guess 3.2, but of course even a fallback might fail sometimes.
