Since i cannot use my old s-video frame grabber anymore, i am thinking about getting one of these :

http://www.epiphan.com/products/frame-grabbers/vga2usb/

Has anyone got some info on if it works with Avenue, or if there are things i should be aware of?
Would be a shame to spend money on just a colourful little box.

Any info would be much apreciated.

Thnx,

I've always been wary of these sort of devices, but I recently saw the VGA2USB LR in action, and it works quite well. Of course there is some latency involved, like with any capture device, but it worked and was stable.

Thnx Joris!

I think I will buy me one, as soon as I robbed the bank. ;)

Hi,
I have bought the VGA2USB (standard not LR) frame grabber but unfortunately it is not working at all with Resolume.
I installed the driver and epiphan software and can see the grabbed image in the epiphan capture window.
In Resolume (i tested 3 and 4) I see the device under direct show objects but there is no image when I pull it to the composition area.
What is going wrong?
Any help really appreciated.
Thank you.

i've tried to connect one, and got it to work on resolume3 on vista after fiddling with the input resolution on the epiphan. It didnt work for long and regularly stopped working while testing, so i never really used it.
