Another (but dif) .mov problem

I've had these problems for a while now but was fine with it until now since I am working with much more videos.
When I try to open a .mov file in Resolume, one of two things will happen.
1) Some of the videos I have are downloaded from the web. Which makes them flv files. So then I open them in quicktime and save them as a .mov file. When I open these files in Resolume they play, but entirely to fast. With the sound at a steady high pitched beep.
2) The other videos are premade videos that I export out of FCP. I export them out of FCP as .mov files. When these are opened in Resolume they also play, but the image is completely scattered.
Before, I have worked my way around it by do the same thing to each of these files. Which is open the .mov files in quicktime and "saving them for web". Then I get the "saved for web" file, which is an .m4v, open them in quicktime again and resave them as .mov files. Then everything is ok.
Now that I am dealing with alot more videos this will be a huge hassle. Also the final .mov file that works, ends up being twice as big as the original. I just don't understand why this is happening, since it ends up being a .mov file in the end anyways.
I am using macbook pro. 10.6. Snow Leopard. Resolume 3.2
