Hello everybody,
http://www.eyejam.org is the website of a vj event in Torino, Italy. In the downloads section though there are a bunch of clips for download under the creative commons license.
Maybe the site could be linked in the footage section?
Feedback and clip contributions are welcome
thanks!

yeah...
putting cinepak/indeo/mjpeg/midivid would require lots of bandwidth. Clips are compressed in mpeg4 codecs (divx/xvid) at full quality and resolution (many are 640x480). You should achieve pretty good quality recompressing them at the codec and resolution you prefer.
Beware that the creative commons license gives you permission to use these clips in non-commercial situations (eg paid vjsets) without permission by the author.
You may use the clips for inspiration, or in no-profit situations (eg fund-raising parties).
You MAY use the clips in other type of situations by asking permission to the author of the clips. Asking permission may involve an exchange (clips, ideas, inspiration) depending on the author. In this case you could ask for a full quality, uncompressed file.
cheers,
