Cant load any videos!

Hi,
i can not load any videos into avenue... i got some vids (.mov & .avi) but these vids are marked with an big red X in the Filebrowser. The "Urban Textures" Videos work but others not. I have Resolume Avenue 3.3.1 and tried for example the "OrangeStrings 640x480" Videos wich were free to download on your site.
Im a real noobie in avenue and did VJing always just for fun and didnt need any other vids than the beginner ones... but now i have my first VJ gig soon.
I tried to fix this problem for hours and also searched the forum and on google but didn't find anything.
And I can not open "C:\Documents and Settings" cause I got no permission although im administrator so i cant send any log files
I hope you can find any solution...
