I seek wisdom and enlightenment : PC for Resolume

Hello wise ones,
I have recently received some money from my uncle, Minister of Defence for Zamunda, and am holding the money for him while he completes an urgent business transaction. I was looking for your help in spending some of his money and I need to buy a PC as my Mac is full and I can't afford another one.
To do this I will need a bit of advice as to where to spend his ill gotten gains, specifically weighting between components (is Resolume Avenue memory, cpu or processor bound on PC usually or what affects this balance) for Audio and Visual live performance. I will be purchasing the relevant components from reputable suppliers that take blood diamonds, so I don't need advice as to where to buy them just advice on what to consider.
If I skim too much of his money I'll be in deep trouble upside down with a bag over my head so I want to try and buy a CPU, Motherboard, RAM and Graphics Card for under £400 Happily these will be making their way into a lovely Sun Ultra 20 Workstation case, so no need for new Hard Drives (I have 2x250GB 7200RPM WDs, is there a configuration you would recommend for these ?) case etc.
