Resolume for Ipad

Hi,
Since the new Ipad is suppose to have a better CPU and GPU and now as a proper HDMI output would if be possible to see some time in the future an Ipad version of Resolume.
There is already and app called Ivj but it reminds me of Motion Dive Tokyo from back in the day and is very limited.
I'm currently also using TouchOSC but the major inconvenience is that you can't see the clips so unless you know your clips and banks by heart or are standing in front of the computer it's just another midi controller.
Looking forward to your input on it.

i don't think that a ipad2 is already powerfull enough
also resolume2 would not run on this specs very smooth (as it does on a netbook, and the ipad seems not faster)
and i don't think that it makes sense to port the resolume code to iOS
i tested iVJ, but it doesn't support an output via cable which makes is useless!
my fav. app for iphone/ipad is RhythmicCirle Visualizer
this is ported from an older mac os vj software, but it can't play videos, only the "particle system" works here.
in future i think there'll be more to come, but i think the developement of vj software should still be focused on "real" computers for now.
and i bet something like iVJ which is quiete useable to mix at least 2 videos to run a simple show will be the next step since imovie is released for ios
my suggestion for the future is that iOS, Android etc... will not live very long. Now the first Tablets with new intel core cpu's and windows7 are available, and i hope that things like ipad also will run OSX in some time.

hmm, okay, games also run very fine, even on my iphone
and it seems the new power vr chip is up to 9 times faster.
i don't knew that it is that fast!
so the gpu is not the bottleneck aight?

iVJ works with both vga and composite outs on an iphone4, I use it for shows once and a while. I think the free version doesn't do video out.

Hi,
I agree IVj can do the job, but it's like going back in time and using Motion Dive. I would like to know what the developers have to say on this one cause I'm sure there is massive possibilities. It would also make it easier to go to gigs with just and Ipad rather than a laptop.

All I can say is, if that's something you'd be interested in, you should keep your eyes peeled the next few days.
