Ramdisc vs. SSD drive

Ok... I've a Laptop with 8 GByte RAM - Win 7 - 64 Bit - and I don't think so does Resolume use the maximum of possible RAM cache?!
A SSD drive is a great but expensive alternative to a hard drive. But if you have a big RAM it would be a shame not to use this. So does anyone have experience with a RAM Disk like Superspeed Ramdisk?
