for me at least (using indeo 5.1 files) resolume uses 99% of the processor and using any application at the same time seems to be almost impossible. i can barely even use notepad with resolume running. i've always had to close resolume to use any other application.

how much processor does resolume use for you guys, and what types of compression are your files?

i have the same problem.
i'm new to resolume and i really would like to buy it, but it stops the output when i switch to my flash controlcenter (communicating with clips played in resolume via local connect).
in this way resolume is useless for me :(

resolume is designed to use ALL available processing power to achieve best performance, so if you try to run other apps at the same time they will go very slow.......

mfo - i guess you would have to run your flashcontrol via a network connection

Again, i'm going to try to explane the situation, in resolume 1.5 when I'm using another aplication, the output continues whitout any interruption (only if i'm using an aplication with intensive use of processor, the output may go to slow, but, for example, changing some files with Swish and exporting the new swf, the output work properly in the background).
But in Resolume 2, the output froze completly when i'm launch any other aplication (ex.: to switch the source input for live video, launch the explorer, or anything i do). In Resolume 1.5 I can work with Internet Explorer, wihtout any interruption of the output. Really with v1.5 I worked with the rest of aplications without interrupt the output (only I had slow output when work with heavy jobs like Photoshop or encoding some footage).
Thanks for the attention!

my flashcontrol is - as far as i can influence it - programmed to used as less system resources as possible. thus i dont think it will slow resolume down very much and if it does i can accept that.
but especially as you can set priorities for tasks in windows you can give resolume all the systempower.

i'm not sure if flash' local connect works within an network without an web enviroment. (i'm afraid it only works on one computer or within an web enviroment)
anyway i don't won't to have to buy me another notebook only for a small flash projector based tool.

hi there,
we will try to get resolume 2.0 to work the same as 1.51, it is indeed very handy that resolume keeps on playing in the background.
i added it to the to-do list.
