Dazzle/PinnacleDVD Recorder as video input source.
Dazzle/PinnacleDVD Recorder as video input source.
I have the Dazzzle DVD Recorder as a USB analog input device but it doesn't show up as a source in Resolume on my Macbook. Any ideas why it won't show up?

Same problem here with, elgato usb video capture. Not showing up in the sources. I am working on a mac as-well. Was hoping to use my ipad as a video input this way. I saw more people on the forum are trying this, but didnt find an answer. Anyone?

Unfortunately, most of these cheap USB capture devices only allow you to capture an analog source as a selfcontained movie, usually via their own proprietary software and codec. This means that you can only save it as a movie, and not access the stream live in Resolume.
Joris'Elgato makes an inexpensive USB device that captures S-Video and turns it into a H.264/MPEG-4 file that's perfect for uploading'

Re: Dazzle/PinnacleDVD Recorder as video input source.
I have used the Dazzles in Resolume for Windows only. I got 4 of them but can only run 2 simultaneously.
I even used the EasyCapture USB dongle type. Windows only. Couldn't get it to work properly in Mac via Resolume.
And so I tried BMD Intensity Pros
In Mac OS I have managed to run 5 Black Magic Design Intensity Pro succesfully in Resolume 3.
Although I have 6 Intensity Pro Capture cards, my current setup in Mac OS and BMD Intensity Cards aren't as seamless as in my Windows 7 configuration. Still buggy

You may not see this but it may help others.
I have used the Dazzle DVD recorder many times with a DJ that uses a DVJ. (he likes to have music videos play thought the set)
It works for both windows and mac.
For windows you download the drivers from Pinnicles site.
To use it on Mac (plus many other USB capture devices) use VideoGlide. It will show up unders 'sources' in resolume

Works a treat
