Question:
How can do a transition or mask with a gray mask like in old R2.41? With the old bmp mask i'd can slide in to out and the mask use the grayscale to disolve the layers but I can't reproduce same efect in R3... or something I missing to do?

Request:
Can back the RGB (and now Alpha) buton to select channel output of entire layers? In same way that clips do:

Can put the old "Max-min" loop for the all "timeline" playback options:

And the old "Random" playback?

you can still have the random mode. All you need to do is...

View>show layer transport controls.

Im a little unsure about your first request but im sure this was asked recently.

Having RGBA per layer would be excellent +1

Res 4 is looking to be out sometime this year and if we're lucky it could be August time.

Hope this helps

The button R still there until play a clip, and disappear when select a clip to play.

The R button is not available on clips that have a (silent) audio track (because playing random frames on audio would sound horrible). Remove the audio track and the R will appear again.

As for the rest of your requests:
1. The 'dissolve with mask' is gone in R3, and is probably not making a comeback either. Sorry.
2. RGB controls on the layer level has been asked for a lot. To implement it is a lot more complicated than you'd think, so we can't make any promises on when and if it makes a comeback, but we are aware of the demand for this.
3. Pingpong playmode can be found in the clip properties.
4. See above.

I hope that answers your questions.

Thanks, a lot, for the replay.

In the point 3, sorry, is my mistake, is not about the ping-pong option, is about min-max option under BPM playback.
