Hello!
I'm looking to make a mixtape DVD for my sister, but I need some sort of music visualization for its tracks, hopefully of the same standard as
Strangeloop's stuff.
Is Resolume what I need? If so, any tips on what I gotta do to go about this?
Thanks!
Peter

some sort of music visualization
Resolume does not generate visuals by itself....Resolume "just" plays and combine content you made by your own.
Or brought by your own
hopefully of the same standard as Strangeloop's stuff.
Strangeloop shows a very high quality of visuals...when you are able to create such clips, you can use Resolume to play with them.

your question is very similar to that question:
I would like to be a price winning global known Snowboarder. Should I use snow to reach my target?
But seriously, if its just for your sister...so i'll be a non-commercial work...Use a cutting software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Apples FinalCut, get some sort of content you like from here and there ( maybe:
http://www.vjvault.com ) and cut it all together ...music and video.

That strangeloop site seems to be the work of experienced 3d visual effect artists. Not anything you could do in ae, or for less than $10k. If its for your sister then just use their stuff.
