Display woes : (

Hi all
This is probably a Mac problem rather than a Resolume problem and I'm curious to see if anyone else has come across it. I recently upgraded the firmware on my [2011] MacBook Pro and it no longer allows me to send the display to either the windowed or fullscreen display 1 option, the options are there but nothing happens when I select them.
If I attach a second monitor or projector it all works fine. Curious. I know the firmware upgrade addressed some graphics issues perhaps it also broke something.

Ok.
Since no-one seems interested in this I have followed it up myself. I got hold of another 2011 MacBook Pro ran Resolume without the Firmware update and all was fine. I can send the output to Display 1, either windowed or fullscreen. I then ran the latest firmware update from apple and I get the same result as before. I can no longer send output to Display 1 unless there is a second monitor or projector attached. Maybe it's not a problem for you guys now, but it will be when Macs ship with this already installed. Hope it is something you can fix and not another major Apple f*** up.

Really wouldn't object if someone were to address this. It is after all a repeatable problem and not just some random anomaly.

Hi Balaclava_man
This is indeed not how things should work, and should be addressed. Just to make sure we have all the facts correct:
1. We're assuming you are on OSX 10.7/Lion?
2. We're assuming that by firmware update, you mean software update?
3. What OS version is it still working as expected (10.7.x)?
4. What update is causing the issues (10.7.x to 10.7.y)?

Thanks for taking the time to look at this...
1.One MacBook Pro has 10.6.8 the other has 10.7.2
2. By firmware update I mean apples' latest Firmware update for MacBook Pro [ I got it through software update, I can't find it as a download on their site

] which addresses amongst other things the graphics card. Firmware is defined by apple thusly;
Firmware is a combination of software and hardware. Computer chips that have data or programs recorded on them are firmware. These chips commonly include the following:
ROMs (read-only memory)
PROMs (programmable read-only memory)
EPROMs (erasable programmable read-only memory)
Firmware in PROM or EPROM is designed to be updated if necessary through a software update.
3. NO version of Resolume will allow the display1 option to show unless a second monitor/projector is attached.
4. Both versions of Resolume 3.x and 4.x worked perfectly before the update.
cheers
