DMX Auto Mapping

Hi All
I'm new to Resolume, having just picked up the Beta 4 Arena, which I'm really pleased with so far.
I'm not sure if this is a Beta issue, as I've never used Resolume before, but I'm having issues with the Auto DMX Map.
Running ArtNet from a Cham Sys MagicQ (on PC in this test, but I use the hardware desks for shows), the DMX Map doesn't appear to match up with the published channels. Using the MagicQ fixture for Composition and Layers, a lot of the assigned channels don't appear where they should, particularly the Layer.
Looking at the PDF of the DMX Mapping it looks as if Cham Sys have got the personality pretty good, although I've not looked at every channel. I think the issue is a difference between the Auto Map and the published channels.
Just to be clear, I'm not having ArtNet issues as I'm able to control things like the Composition Master Opacity perfectly. I'd love to control Resolume from the MagicQ and if I have to re-write the fixture file I can, but if the problem is here then everyone else will having problems too.
Is this something people have experience of? Thanks in advance.
Rob

Testing Avenue 3.3.3 is fine, so it's definitely a Arena 4 Beta issue. Channels all mixed up, some not working. The Cham Sys fixture file is correct against the published DMX Map, the issue with with the way the channels are mapped within R4.
Can someone tell me that the DMX Auto Map is going to be working correctly soon, it's what I want Resolume Arena for.
Thanks
Rob

We will work on this DMX map the coming days, i thought it was working correctly but we'll get it fixed. Hopefully we will release version 4 for real soon including the correct DMX map.

Just to follow up on the DMX Auto Map.
The full release 4.0.0 has the correct Auto Map now published with it and it includes several new channels for both Composition and Layer fixtures. Composition goes to 27 channels (from 23) and Layer 37 (from 32).
This additional control means the lighting console fixtures personalities created for Avenue 3 obviously won't work as expected. You will need to edit/create a new file or get your console manufacturer to build one.
Thought I would post this for future users that might be suffering from this issue.

OK, continuing on with this particular theme. Cham Sys have created me a DMX personality file for Resolume 4 Arena which follows the *new* published DMX mapping that is included in the full release (the Auto Map PDF was incorrect in the Beta 2 release)
This still does not work correctly. The Composition map seems to work correctly but there are many errors in the Layer mapping with attributes not appearing where they say they should be. Some examples:
Layer
Rotate X controls Position Y
Pos Y controls Pos X
Scale - > Height
Width - > Blend mode
V Fader - > Blend mode
Rot X - > Anchor X
.......
There are quite a few more but my head is spinning trying to work it all out. Please could this be looked at as a matter of urgency because I'd love to start using Resolume on gigs but right now it's still Beta for me.
Thanks and keep in touch.

UPDATE: New 4.0.1 Auto DMX Map 3rd March 2012
OK, so Cham Sys have made up a personality file using the new published DMX Auto Map in 4.0.1, it's now ALMOST correct lol. Issues outstanding are:
Layer > Play Mode and Direction attributes are mixed up.
Layer > Blend Mode is missing Cut I think, making the start of the blend titles incorrect at the console, being 1 out and then catching up at Darken.
Layer > Play Speed and Play Head are swapped too.
Other than that, it seems to be all there now.

Sigh.... I triple checked the sheet last time, and I have no idea how those channels could have gotten switched
We'll update the sheet one more time for the 4.1 release. This means that ChamSys will have to change the personality one more time, but that way other maps won't get broken with the 4.1 release. So the mapping will stay the same, we'll just update the documentation.
The cut blend mode is a new addition in Resolume 4. The blend modes are addressed by number via DMX, so this is something that ChamSys has to add to their display list of available blend modes.
