Problem running two Videocapture devices

Hej there!

my problem with resolume 4 (and in the upgrade to 4.1 too) is that my two videograbbers (composite video in) show just the same image.
I have two cameras but i only see one - whether i click on the one USB source or the other.
In other programs i can see the two different videos, just resolume won't show me both.
i allready tried different videograbbers - but it remains the same problem.
is there any soulution, any help for that? would be great!

Can you tell us which video capture devices you are using, what system you are on, and which app you are using to see both streams at the same time?

i am working with win7 64bit.
i tried several devices just like this: Renkforce USB DVD Maker II
my first thought was: maby it's because they're from the same
manufacturer and then i tried a similar one... but i got the same result.
i can see the two cameras in arkaos grandVJ.
today i will try to deinstall the grabbers completely and give it a new try.
but for other suggestions i would be verry happy!

Same problem here: multiple 8 input capture board (BT878 based card, Windows 7 32 bit OS). In Arkaos I can select the correct input for every physical input, but in Resolume I can only view the first channel camera (8 inputs see the same camera) making the card unusable inside Resolume

Ah. Yeah, we have to hand it to GrandVJ on this one  . They are probably bypassing the operating system and accessing the devices directly. At the moment, I'm afraid we don't have the time or resources to dedicate to changing this in Resolume.

I have the same problem, my solution is to change the capture card.

goto10,
I think that the problem is that Arkaos can access to the "Crossbar" window of the windows capture driver (in that window, we can choose the correct source), and Resolume Can't access to it. That make unable to change the input of the correct source where the camera are phisically conected inside Resolume, and therefore, make unable to use that device into Resolume.
I Think that Arkaos dont go directly to the capture hardware, becouse we can view the same "Crossbar" window in every capture software installed on our system. Looks like the standard driver interface.

Thanks for the reply, jjm35. We're aware of the IAMCrossbar interface. I'm not quite sure how that relates to OP's problem with two separate USB capture devices though?

Well, really it may not directly related to the problem of the two capture cards, but if you could choose the video source from the availables, it could select one of the capture cards to composite video IN and the other card to S-video IN (it can be a work-around to the problem of two USB cards, and a total solution to my problem with my 8 input card) 8-)

thanks jjm35!
great idea to choose different inputs. unfortuneatly i couldn't choose them with the capturecards i use  ... all INs seem to be allways enabled. this time used a workaround and played some preproduced material while plugging one source off and replaced it with the other... not that elegant but it worked this time...
thanks for your answers - but i will continuing to find out how that might work, because live editing is one thing i will need more often (and i really like to use resolume for that )... any idea what capture devices might be working?
