Video Input Lag

Howdy. I have the new Arena 4. I've been thinking using it to display graphics content on a screen as well as live video mixed in and out. I would probably build a souped up computer with a Blackmagic Decklink card to input live SDI video into the server. I was wondering if any of y'all have done this and is there any lag in the video if you have a fast enough machine. Also can you output through a HD-SDI or Fiber card or do you have to come out of the DVI graphics card.
